Gregory P. LamonacaEsquire
Mr. LaMonaca is the founding member of the firm, which was established in June of 1995. He is a Cardinal O’Hara High School graduate where after he continued his studies at West Chester University, achieving Dean’s list status and graduating Cum Laude. Mr. LaMonaca there after went onto the Widener University School of Law, concentrating his studies on trial advocacy. Mr. LaMonaca is a published author and recipient of a multitude of professional awards including being named multiple times in Philadelphia magazine’s “Super Lawyer” edition, Selection to the 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2004 and 2002 “Top Lawyer” edition of the Main Line Today Magazine and 2012, 2011 and 2010 “Awesome Attorney” in Suburban life Main Line Magazine for Family Law and Divorce. Mr. LaMonaca has an AVVO ranking score of 10 out of 10, Rated as BV Distinguished by Lexis Nexis/ Martindale Hubbells” and a Member of both the Amer. Bar Assoc. and Pa. Bar Assoc.’s Family Law Divisions as well as other organizations.
Christopher R. MattoxEsquire
Mr. Mattox, graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Temple University were he graduated magna cum laude in 1992. He received a Dean’s scholar scholarship to attend the Widener University School of Law. Mr. Mattox then received a Masters in Law from Temple University in Trial Advocacy in 1999.
Mr. Mattox was re-elected to serve a six-year term as a District Judge in Upper Darby which commenced January 2, 2010. Mr. Mattox primarily handles personal injury and family law matters within the firm, with a special interest in litigation. Mr. Mattox is a licensed member of the Pa. Bar Association. He is a member in good standing of The Eastern District of Pennsylvania, The Third Circuit Federal Court of Appeals and The Supreme Court of the United States.
Lauren A. StevensEsquire
Lauren Stevens joined the firm in March, 2009. She is a 1980 graduate from the University of Delaware with a BA degree in Criminal Justice and a 1984 graduate from The Widener University School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree. She is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and U. S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Delaware County Bar Association. Lauren began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney with the Chester County District Attorney’s Office where she gained valuable trial experience. Lauren later became an associate with a Philadelphia Law Firm where her practice focused primarily on insurance defense litigation matters including motor vehicle, products liability, medical malpractice and medical device mass tort litigation. In 1995, Lauren became an owner/partner in the law firm of Stevens and Witmer, P.C. where her practice focused primarily on family law, landlord tenant, real estate, personal injury and criminal matters.
Carol A. McDonaldEsquire
Carol McDonald joined the firm in 2006. She graduated magna cum laude from Rosemont College and then received her Juris Doctorate degree from Villanova University School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and has also passed the bar exam in New Jersey. Carol is a member of the Pennsylvania and Delaware County Bar Associations. Professionally, Carol has practiced both civil and criminal law. In 2001 she joined the Legal Department at the Domestic Abuse Project of Delaware County (DAP) and served as the Director of the Legal Department for over 3 years. In her capacity at DAP, Carol represented thousands of victims of domestic abuse.
Lawrence C. WelshEsquire
Lawrence C. (Larry) Welsh joined the firm in 2003 after five years of practice with the Delaware County Public Defender’s Office. Native to Lansdowne in Delaware County where he attended public schools, Larry graduated from St. Joseph’s College (in its pre-University days) and taught school briefly before entering the hospitality industry and working his way through hotels, restaurants and resorts in four states and the District of Columbia.
As a graduate of Villanova University School of Law, Larry now focuses primarily on the firm’s family law practice along with other areas of the Law. Larry handles a full range of domestic relations matters throughout the five-county southeastern Pennsylvania area and looks forward to expanding the firm’s practice, especially in the family-law field, into New Jersey where he is one of three members of the firm (along with Gregory P. LaMonaca and Christopher R. Mattox) admitted to practice.
Alicia FastmanEsquire
Alicia Fastman graduated from Hofstra University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, then went on to complete her Juris Doctorate at the Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, DE. Ms. Fastman graduated from law school with pro bono distinction, completed a Certificate in Criminal Law, and focused her intensive studies within the fields of litigation and trial advocacy.
Ms. Fastman is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, and is a member of the Pennsylvania and Delaware County Bar Associations. Ms. Fastman specializes in family law as well as other areas of the firm’s litigation practice.
Wesley LeggEsquire
Wesley Legg is a native of Chester County. He attended Bishop Shanahan High School and graduated in 2002. He went on to attend West Chester University but then decided to transfer to Penn State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 2006. After graduation, Wesley, decided to go to work in the construction industry. After a few years and careful consideration, he decided to attend law school. In 2008, Wesley and his future wife, Elena moved to Massachusetts. Wesley enrolled at the New England School of Law. He graduated from NESL in 2011.
Wesley is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Chester County Bar Association, and Delaware County Bar Association.
Joseph Michael LaMonacaEsquire
Mr. LaMonaca is “Of Counsel” to the firm. In addition, Mr. LaMonaca has represented individuals in the area of Domestic Relations, and specializes in representing individuals in aviation law throughout the country, and abroad, in actions involving pilot f.a.a certificate actions, f.a.a civil penalty actions, medical certificate actions, n.t.s.b. hearings and appeals, united states court of appeals matters, dui, alcohol and drug related aviation matters, aviation accident and incident matters and investigation, flight department/pilot consultation, aviation insurance related matters, aviation employment related matters, f.b.o. representation, airline representation and defense, aircraft owner and pilot association panel lawyer matters, and aviation law seminars/pilot practical legal seminars.
Kristy L. Keeley-PanellaParalegal
Mrs. Panella grew up in Boothwyn, Pennsylvania and is a High School Graduate of Chichester High School. After High School, Kristy attended The PJA School Paralegal program in Upper Darby. She graduated 2nd in her class and received an Associates Degree in paralegal. She continued on to attend Chestnut Hill College with a major in Criminal Justice later graduating “Cum Laude”, receiving her Bachelor of Science Degree. Kristy began working for The Law Office of Gregory P. LaMonaca, P.C. in June of 2000 and continues to assist Gregory P. LaMonaca, and his associates in their current law practice.
Sarah M. TAYLORParalegal
Sarah is a Philadelphia native now residing in Delaware County. She graduated from West Chester University cum laude in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. After graduation, she decided to enter the legal field and completed Villanova University’s Paralegal program in September 2011. Sarah joined the firm in July of 2011. Sarah is also a charter member of the Delaware County Paralegal Association.
Patrick DempseyLegal Assistant / Accounts Receivable
Mr. Dempsey grew up in Broomall, Pennsylvania and is a High School Graduate of Marple Newtown High School. After High School, Patrick attended St. John’s University before transferring to Eastern University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance. While at both universities, he was a member of the Men’s Lacrosse team and at Eastern University, he served as Team Captain. Patrick is now beginning the process of pursuing a law degree. Patrick began working for The Law Office of Gregory P. LaMonaca, P.C. in May of 2011 and assists Mr. LaMonaca and his associates in their law practice.
Monica A. LaMonacaBilling & Bookkeeping
Mrs. LaMonaca was born and raised in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. A graduate of Cardinal O’Hara High School, she continued her studies at West Chester University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. Thereafter, she continued her education by attending Widener University where she obtained her Master’s Degree in Reading. Mrs. LaMonaca has been affiliated with the firm since 1994.
