Appellate Unit

Suffice to say that when parties cannot agree, go to court and a Judge makes a decision, often one side is not happy with the results. Often, the Judge makes the right decision under the law. In these cases, while a party may be unhappy with the results, there is nothing one can do at that time. In other cases, Judges, who are human, make the wrong legal decision. In certain circumstances, the aggrieved party has the right to file an appeal to a higher Court. If successful, the decision could be overturned, sent back for additional testimony or many other things. Our appellate unit can advise you of whether the matter can be appealed, should be appealed and other possible ways to proceed including asking the Judge to reconsider.
